About this deck

Most of these decks keep the Rider–Waite–Smith structure and much of its symbolism but redraw every card in a new style, so the meanings on this site still apply. Many come from independent artists and small presses. Choose the one whose pictures you want to keep looking at.

Who it suits

For a first deck that feels like yours. These keep the classic structure, so tarot books and this site still apply, but each speaks in its own visual voice. Look through sample cards before you choose; the right deck is the one you want to keep looking at.

Learn the cards

Every card in this deck has a page of its own on Familiar: the picture, the upright and reversed readings, and what it asks in love and in work. Start with the Major Arcana.
